Shotaro Ishinomori hero Sea Jetter Kaito, the mascot of the Ishinomori Manga Museum and Ishinomaki's local hero is so popular that it will have its own movie that will be shown in the Ishinomori Manga Museum starting from March 23!
Originally intended to be called Iron Devil Shadol, this was eventually scrapped and remade into Chojin Bashan from Chojin Bibyun. The mascot of the Ishinomori Manga Museum already received a manga adaptation. The upcoming movie will feature a familiar group of people who are part in the production of newer Kamen Rider shows.
The movie will star Yuki Satou, best known as Arata Kagami aka Kamen Rider Gatack and Seiji Takaiwa (Kamen Rider suit actor). This movie will also feature the voices of Shozo Iizuka (Hakaider) and Masaki Terasoma (Kamen Rider Den-O's Kintaros, Shadow Moon).
This movie is produced by Jun Hikasa (Akibaranger, Kamen Rider Blade) and Naomi Takebe (Kamen Rider OOO, Go-Busters), with scripts writen by Riku Sanjou (Kamen Rider W, Kyoryuger) and this movie is directed by Hidenori Ishida (Kamen Rider Kabuto: God Speed Love).
The movie's theme song is performed by Masaki Endoh and the film will feature two insert songs, namely, "The Immortal Hero Sea Jetter Kaito" by Hironobu Kageyama, Masaki Endou and Hiroshi Kitadani and "Fight!! Sea Jetter Kaito" by Ichiro Mizuki. As of this writing, it is still unknown if the movie will receive a home video release.
