In this episode, we meet Dizchord and as his name suggest, he creates discord with his music and the ones who are greatly affected by it are Troy and Emma. Can the Rangers stop Dizchord and his bad music?
This is one of those episodes in this show that feels like they lifted a lot of elements from the original Goseiger episode and decided to make some minor alterations. The problem with it is that altering some bits of the original script will lose some of the points established in the original Goseiger episode. In this case, the reason why Troy and Emma are greatly affected by Dizchord's music is lost in translation. The only explanation they have is that they are near when Dizchord made the attack. If that is the case, then the ones who first heard Dizchord's music must have the side effects Troy and Emma have but nope, we don't see it.
Another problem this episode had is having Vrax appear in our world in his regular armor. I have problems with it at first that is until they were able to explain that the reason why Vrak is wearing his regular armor is because it protects him from Dizchord's music. Wise move for the writers so that they can adapt the Goseiger footage without alienating the viewers. As for how they resolved it, the same way the Goseiger episode did it, by having Emma sing and Troy spread the music. Emma's song is fine I guess but it feels too generic to my taste. At the end, they defeated Dizchord with music, giant battle happened and the episode ends with Ernie playing Dizchord's music because he liked it. Wow.
P.S. This is the shortest Power Rangers Megaforce review that I made. This episode has a lot of Goseiger stuff in it that I don't need to talk much.
