In this episode, Gorgom is gathering talented violinist for them to play "The Devil's Thrill", a music composed by Tartani after making his contract with the devil. This is when Yuri comes in, a girl that Kotaro met who is a talented violinist, who failed her audition thanks to those rich kids. Now, she wants revenge with her music.
Gorgom's new plan is something that I expect them to do, something that is massive. But I didn't expect is this plan has something to do with music! The use of music, to be more specific, sound waves is really amazing. For starters, people listen to music so the plan to use sound waves for their plan is really accessible. This is when the Devil's Thrill comes in; Gorgom wants to play this classical piece of music so that the Cicada Mutant can amplify it! I am not sure why they need this exact piece if the Cicada Mutant can do it with other songs. Based on the name alone, it might cause something evil on the one who listens to this song.
Yuri's reason in joining Gorgom is understandable. I mean, rich people don't care about the music, they only care about the glory it made to their family! Yuri just wanted to spread good music and not to be cheated by rich people! But that is not what is happening to Kotaro because her music hurts his ears because of the Cicada Mutant! Kotaro then transforms to Kamen Rider BLACK and fight the Cicada Mutant. Much to his surprise, his attacks affect Yuri's body. One thing I notice on her head is some special headband. By the looks of it, this affects her nervous system every time BLACK hits Cicada Mutant's body.
This is one of the rare times that BLACK has a hard time defeating a mutant because of some condition, making this episode more interesting. Later, one of Yuri's fans, the boy who listens to her in the park is worried since she looks like she changed. Kotaro decides to follow Yuri because of the kid, only to end up in one of Gorgom's bases where they are recording The Devil's Thrill with other violinist! What made it interesting is not the recording, but the use of humans as part of Gorgom's group. I mean, they did a great job in supporting the Cicada Mutant that made BLACK rather weak in the battlefield!
This is when the fight gets interesting, BLACK is thinking of ways on how to beat the Cicada Mutant. At first he tried throwing the violins, thinking that it connects to the Cicada Mutant. Though it failed at first, he then realized that the headbands are the ones that connect the Cicada Mutant's nervous system. I thought at first that BLACK will hit the headbands but much to my surprise, he hit Cicada's head that connects to the headbands! It's smart and did quite a damage that disabled the headbands before BLACK finished the Cicada Mutant with a Rider Kick!
At the end, Yuri came back to her sense and realized that even though she only has a single fan, he understands better music than most people. It's one great lesson that it is bad to force most people on what you like but to care people who like what you like.
