The first Dragon Quest fame is coming to the iOS and Android! What's more is that the first 1 million people who will download this game will get it for free!

But if you are not part of the first 1 million people who download this game, you can purchase the game for 500 yen ($5). Aside from the updated graphics, Dragon Quest also features a vertical layout.

Dragon Quest for the iOS and Android will be released on November 28.

Final Fantasy IV: The After Years iOS & Android Launch Trailer

Square Enix streamed the launch trailer of the Final Fantasy IV: The After Years 3D remake for the iOS and Android. The game is now available on the Apple App Store (iOS), Google Play (Android) and Square Enix Market.


For those who are not aware, FFIV: The After Years is a direct sequel to FFIV and it follows the adventure of Ceodore Harvey, Cecil and Rosa's son. The game was originally released in the West via WiiWare for the Wii and the Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection for the PSP.

The release date of Final Fantasy IV: The After Years for the iOS and Android is finally revealed. The 3D remake of the said game will be released in the end of November.

Porting Final Fantasy VII in the iOS & Android is Not Possible Now

We reported last week that according to Square Enix director and producer Takashi Tokita it is possible for Final Fantasy VII to have a port for the smartphones in the future.

But don't get your hopes up since for now, porting this classic PSOne game is not possible. According to Tokita in his recent interview with Shacknews that due to memory limitations, it is not yet possible to play FFVII in your smartphone.

He said, "currently, space will be an issue. Phones won't be won't be able to contain the space it takes. It's over a gigabyte. People are probably going to have to wait a few years."

Currently, there's a 2GB limit on iOS games and the recent FFVII PC release is 3GB, a gigabyte higher than the iOs limit.

Final Fantasy VI Coming to the iOS and Android, FFVII Port Possible

Square Enix producer Takashi Tokita revealed via Kotaku that they will release Final Fantasy VI for the iOS and Android this Winter! Just like past FF games ported in the smartphones, there are some minor enhancements.

First is that there will be less level grinding in this version so that players will not have to spend more time leveling their characters. Next is that the graphics will be similar to the Final Fantasy V port for the iOS and Android.

Lastly, this game is part of the Final Fantasy Legacy series, in which they will release classic Final Fantasy games to smartphones. Speaking of which, he also revealed that if the project works out, there will be smartphone versions of VII, VIII, IX, X and beyond.

Kamen Rider Gaim Joins Kamen Rider Break Joker Game

Namco Bandai Games posted a new promo for the Kamen Rider Break Joker game for the iOS and Android featuring Kamen Rider Gaim!


The new promo features its gameplay and new cards. The game is similar to Black Jack where you need to have a sum of 21 using two or more cards. In addition to cards you can get in-game, you can purchase digital or actual booster card packs.

Dragon Quest I-VIII Coming to the iOS and Android this Winter

Square Enix officially confirmed that the Dragon Quest series will be soon be available on smartphones!

The teaser site revealed that Dragon Quest (NES), Dragon Quest II: Pantheon of Evil Spirits (NES), Dragon Quest III: And Into the Legend... (NES), Dragon Quest IV: The Guided Ones (NES), Dragon Quest V: The Heavenly Bride (SNES), Dragon Quest VI: Land of Illusion (SNES), Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden (PS1) and Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King (PS2) will be all coming to the iOS and Android this winter.

Final Fantasy Agito Tokyo Game Show Trailer

Here's the official Tokyo Game Show trailer of Final Fantasy Agito for the iOS and Android. This free-to-play game takes place in the world of Final Fantasy Type-0.


In this game, players can aim to become an Agito by completing combat missions and deepening their friendships by interacting with NPCs. The fate of the world is reliant on the game's "decision" system where votes of players affect the world's history.

There are plans for the game to be localized for Western audience as well plans in bringing Final Fantasy Type-0 via the PlayStation Network. The game will be released this winter in Japan.

Final Fantasy Agito iOS, Android Game Revealed

Here's the first trailer of Final Fantasy Agito, a smartphone game related to Final Fantasy Type-0. The game will be available for iOS and Android devices starting this winter.

This free-to-play title with premium items you can purchase with cash is produced by Hajime Tabata (Final Fantasy Type-0, The 3rd Birthday). The game's main character is a cadet that the player can customize.

The flow of the game will be similar to other free-to-play mobile games, where you have Action Power that is recovered over time and is consumed when you accept missions. In addition, the decisions you will make in the game will determine the outcome of the story.


The first part of the game will be about the history of Orience, the world of Final Fantasy Type-0. The second part onward is the time when the main story changes depending on your decisions. Once you complete it all, it will start over from the beginning, allowing players to try other story routes you haven't selected previously.

Lastly, the game will also feature a job system, a amystem where you can get support from specific allies in missions by becoming friendlier with them and supports asynchronous play, so that players will not worry about the time you play with others.

Souta Fukushi Promotes Square Enix's Bloodmasque Smartphone RPG

Souta Fukushi, who is best known for his role as Gentaro Kisaragi aka Kamen Rider Fourze is now promoting Square Enix's newest smartphone RPG game called "Bloodmasque". The ad features Souta being amazed with the game's cool feature.


In the game, you can take a photo of yourself and the game will plaster that photo on your in-game avatar. As a vampire hunter, your job is to slay vampires obviously. Bloodmasque is now available in the Apple App Store for the iPhone, iPad and iTouch.

Super Sentai Battle Base iOS, Android Game Announced

Namco Bandai Games announced that they will release a new smartphone game called "Super Sentai Battle Base". In this game, players can make their own Super Sentai secret base.

Create your own secret base and upgrade it using parts seen in previous Super Sentai shows. You can also form your own 5-man team by choosing warriors from Goranger to Kyoryuger.


Since you can use Super Sentai warriors in the game, you can also fight monsters and pilot Super Sentai mecha and of course, test the strength of your base and party by fighting other players.

Net Carddass - Kamen Rider Break Joker Android & iOS Game Promo

Namco Bandai Games began streaming the promo for the Net Carddass - Kamen Rider Break Joker game for the Android and the iOS. The game can be downloaded in this site and register using your Bandai ID passport.


This game is basically a game of Black Jack with Kamen Rider characters in it. Players can collect or buy by buying digital cards or booster packs to increase your Kamen Rider character roster.

The first volume of the card booster pack will be released this August 2013 and costs 6,000 yen. The set includes 20 packs with 3 cards per pack.

The Nintendo DS, iOS and the Android release features the Augment System, which lets characters pass their abilities down to other party members. In addition, the iOS version has been rebalanced and has upgraded graphics.

Final Fantasy V iOS & Android Port Updates

The first images of the upcoming Final Fantasy V port for the iOS and Android has surfaced online. Based on the first images, it seems that the game has some visual upgrades.

As seen in the screens, the character portraits use the classic Yoshitaka Amano artwork and that the character sprites resemble the character sprites from Final Fantasy Dimensions.

In addition to the visual updates, the iOS and Android port will include four new job classes, these jobs are: Necromancer, Cannoneer, Oracle, and Gladiator and a new bosses like Enuo.

Final Fantasy V for the iOS will be released at the end of March. While as for the Android version, it will be released this summer.

Official Pokémon Pokédex iOS App Now Available in North America & Europe

North American and European Pokémon fans rejoice as the Pokémon Company has just released the official Pokédex app for the iOS in North America and Europe!

The app costs US$1.99 or £1.49/€1.79 and and uses 3D models similar to those in Pokédex 3D for Nintendo 3DS. The app is available in five languages: English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish.

Just like the Japanese version, it will start with info coming from the Unova region and you need to purchase additional packs for US$5.99 or £3.99/€5.49 to include data from the Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh regions.

The app provides information on the look of each Pokémon, its basic stats, moves, abilities, where it can be found, what types of moves are strong against it, among other information.
