Kamen Rider Battride War New Images: DLC & Secondary Riders Edition

Dengeki Online posted the latest batch of screenshots for the upcoming Kamen Rider Battride War game for the PS3. The new screenshots features the free DLC, and more images of the playable Riders.

We previously reported that the game will have free downloadable content in the form of Kamen Rider Wizard Infinity and Kamen Rider Beast Hyper, the final forms of the two Riders of Kamen Rider Wizard. Distribution will be available from June 6th to 20th via the PlayStation Network.

Kamen Rider Agito can freely change between his four forms: Ground (balance), Flame (stronger but less mobility and speed), Storm (fastest but has less power) and Trinity forms. Trinity Form has the ability to "Rider Glide" and his attack-only form is the Burning Form. Lastly, his final form is the Shining Form.

Now for the secondary Riders, when Kamen Rider Birth defeats his enemies, he can gain Cell Medals that he can use for his CLAWS System. Caterpillar Legs gives additional power, while Crane Arm brings the opponent closer. Birth's finisher is Birth Day Mode's Breast Cannon.

Kamen Rider Meteor can freely use his Meteor Galaxy moves. Jupiter Hammer for a powerful punch, Saturn Sorcery ranged attacks, and Mars Breaker for short range. His finishing move is the Meteor Storm Punisher.

Aside from his regular forms, Kamen Rider W can also transform into W FangJoker. Unlike his regular forms, this form is on a different slot. His finisher is the Fang Streiser and can also ride the Machine Hardboilder.

Thanks to the game's Chronicle Mode, you can recreate some climatic scenes from various Kamen Rider TV shows. Some of these scenes are fighting some enemies in the TV series and movies like the El of the Water, Kamen Rider Skull and the Phoenix Phantom that resurrects once he is defeated.

More Kamen Rider Agito Novel Spoilers!

The Kamen Rider Agito novel was released a months ago, but here are some more spoilers about the retelling or should I say, a reimagining of the 2nd Heisei Kamen Rider show.

  • The novel has more focus on Mana.
  • The Overlord of Darkness and Overlord of Light is not mentioned.
  • Akatsuki is a village instead of a ship.
  • Shoichi and Hikawa are involved in the Akatsuki incident and Shoichi lost his memories after fighting a mysterious creature.
  • The G3 System is created to fight the Lords/Unknown, not the Grongi.
  • Taichi does not exist in the novel.
  • Just like the series, the novel has some comedy and serious moments.
  • The ending is a "the adventure continues" kind of thing. Although the battle with the Lords still continue, the novel ends in a bright note.

Kamen Rider: Seigi no Keifu PS2 Game - Why is This Game Canon?

4chan's /m/ board is sometimes (more like most of the time) is a gold mine when it comes to Kamen Rider or Super Sentai related production stuff. This time around, we have stuff that has something to do with Kamen Rider: Seigi no Keifu, a crossover game for the PS2.

This crossover game features Kamen Riders #1 & #2, V3, BLACK and Agito. The premise of the game is simple, it takes place after the end of Kamen Rider Agito and Shouichi ends up meeting the past Riders who were voiced by the original actors via a plot device known as time travel.

Fans have debated if the game is part of the Kamen Rider mythos. 2ch agrees that the game is canon mainly because most of the original actors consider it canon, Toshiki Inoue considers it canon, and the Agito website listed it within the Agito timeline before the site was taken down.

The game was also one of the external materials that brought up the fact that Agito is based on a golden Chinese dragon. It is also one of the rare times Agito is being referred to as a Kamen Rider.

Special thanks to 4chan's /m/ board for the info and Kamen Rider Wikia for the info about the game.

Kamen Rider 555 & Agito Novel Spoilers

The Kamen Rider 555 and Kamen Rider Agito novels were released today and thus, fans decide to spoil some details about these new novels!

The Kamen Rider 555 novel is a re-release of the first Kamen Rider 555 novel called "Kamen Rider 555: Grotesque Flowers" with a 40-page epilogue sequel. To put it simply, the infamous rape scene is still intact.

As for the Kamen Rider Agito novel, it is a retelling of the show but it's a bit different. It doesn't have the same ending, seems to address a few plot holes.

Kamen Rider Agito & 555 Novel Synopsis Revealed

The synopsis of the upcoming Kamen Rider Agito and Kamen Rider 555 novels was just released! Both novels feature the involvement of series head writer Toshiki Inoue.

The Kamen Rider Agito novel is a retelling of the original TV series with some new material. Written by Toshiki Inoue and Naohiro Okamura, here's the synopsis of this novel.

Shoichi, a young man who is fighting as Agito against the Unknown, despite suffering from amnesia. Ryo has managed to awaken the power of Gills, but because of that his body is slowly decaying. As well as G3, Hikawa, how will their fates intervene?

The Kamen Rider 555 novel takes place 5 years after the end of Kamen Rider 555: Grotesque Flowers, a novel released by Toshiki Inoue in 2004. It's the infamous novel where Kusake ends up raping Mari. Written by Toshiki Inoue and Kenji Konuta, here's the synopsis of this novel.

It's been 5 years and Takumi and Mari haven’t heard or seen from Keitaro, Kusaka, Naoya, or Kiba after the incidents from Grotesque Flowers. All of a sudden, out of nowhere a new shining warrior appears. No one seems to know who this person is. Takumi and Mari, who have both been trying to live peaceful lives, have to once again fight together.

Both Kamen Rider Agito and Kamen Rider 555 novels are set for a January 31 release.

The Kuuga-Agito Connection, A Clarification

Kamen Rider Agito is often seen as an direct sequel to Kamen Rider Kuuga thanks to the basis of the G3 System being Kamen Rider Kuuga. Some sources claim otherwise that Kamen Rider Agito takes place on a parallel universe similar to Kamen Rider Kuuga.

But thanks to Over-Time and Aesir's translator, Magenta and some anon who asked him to translate a text coming from the Kamen Rider Agito production site, we finally have a clarification regarding the Kuuga and Agito connection coming from the show producers.

And I quote:
You're free to enjoy Agito as a continuation of Kuuga if you so wish, or imagine it takes place in a parallel world, if you so choose. I appreciate this may sound like an asspull, however, so I guess I would say that while Agito takes place '2 years after #4 destroys the Unidentified Lifeforms', it is not a sequel to Kuuga, so take to the show with that in mind.

The reason why the producers want us to think Kamen Rider Agito as an independent story, it is because, "Yusuke Godai fought so hard to put smiles on everyone's faces that if another conflict were to break out afterwards, it would diminish the value of everything he fought for."

Thus the Kamen Rider Agito staff want Kamen Rider Kuuga to be a standalone, conclusive story in which at the end, Yusuke Godai protected our smiles. And with that in mind, I salute the Kamen Rider Agito production team.

Special thanks to 4chan's /m/ board for the making this topic... in a Go-Busters thread!
