Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger 31 – Summer Fever… in Fall?!

Badass uncle.

It's the Fall Festival but there seems to be a problem, people still think that it's summer time! To make matters worse, the only one who is not affected is Nossan! Can Nossan figure out why the heck his teammates are slacking off?

If there is one thing that I can easily complain in this episode is this: where are the other Kyoryugers while this is all happening? I can understand if Yayoi can't join the fun because there is a possibility that she might be affected by the MOTW's ability to make people lazy but the Spirit Rangers has no excuse not to join. Ramirez and Tessai are spirits for crying out loud! They can help Nossan in this case, but if their excuse is that they are searching for the other Lost Stones, like what the other Kyoryugers did in this episode, and then I can understand that. But nope, they didn't address this issue.

That is the only disappointment I have in this episode, as for the rest, this is one good episode. Aside that they continued on poking fun about his age, we also see how responsible he is as an uncle and a father figure to his niece. His determination to protect his family makes some good family drama and a nice conflict with his sister who just wants the heroes to handle the job for them. Speaking of her, during the events of the episode, it seems that she is slowly figuring out that her brother is KyoryuBlue based on his actions in the past.

Her slowly realizing that his brother and Blue is the same person is one of the strongest parts of the episode along with Blue's fight scenes. More on Blue's fights, it shows us why he is one heck of an uncle. As for the rest of the team, thanks to Nossan's sister snapping them out, King fights the MOTW in space to stop him spreading the summer fever to everyone. The space fight is quite underwhelming, oh well, at least the Gokaiger reference is fun to watch. After King defeated the MOTW in space, it's time for the ground fight.

The ground fight is fun to watch, especially the seriously chill and calm atmosphere of the roll call that reminded me of those cool and calm summer nights. After our heroes defeated the MOTW, Nossan continues his preparation for the Fall Festival and eventually, takes a nice nap. As for his sister, it seems that she is thanking him for what he did today and by the looks of it, she finally figured out that her brother is a superhero and she doesn't want to tell him that she knows it.
