As we all know, Marvel and Star Wars are now owned by Disney and since Kingdom Hearts features characters from both Disney and Final Fantasy, fans wondered if Kingdom Hearts III will feature some Marvel and Star Wars characters.

In this year's Japan Expo, Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura told Finaland that he is keen to add content from Marvel and Star Wars franchises in the game. "Of course it would be great if we could add those licenses as well, but there are lots of rules and restrictions by Disney so we can't actually put in everything people want."

He added, "So it's a quite difficult decision but we're gonna prepare some surprises for you so, just wait for the information."

Kingdom Hearts III is currently being developed for the PS4 and the Xbox One and has no confirmed release date as of this writing.
