Go-Busters 34 – Puppetry, More Megazords & Jin Fooling Around

Silly Puppetroid~!

Much to my surprise, they still haven't beaten the first Messiah Megazord and currently, they are waiting for its arrival. On the other hand, Jin starts to fool around while the rest of the Busters are serious about waiting for the arrival of the enemy Megazord. To make matters worse, a second Messiah Card was activated! Can the Go-Busters defeat two arriving Megazords and why is Jin fooling around?

For starters, I am really disappointed that they never went with the off screen elimination of the enemy Megazord. Even if that is the case, I like the idea of making this episode a "surprise" second part of a story arc since most episode summaries that was released before the actual episode made the episode sound like a single episode and not part of a two-parter story arc.

The actual episode itself was surprisingly good; it's just Jin and him being Jin and something deeper about his personality. Jin was just fooling around the rest of the episode that is until the Puppetroid started controlling him and saw some great martial arts fights thanks to the Puppetroid controlling Jin as Beet Buster. It was fun seeing Beet Buster do some fights that he didn't perform that made me awe the whole time. Since they controlled Beet Buster, Enter used this opportunity to gather more data about the Go-Busters.

I find the data gathering scene really dumb, especially if the earlier data gathering scene involves a lot of martial arts fights. On the other hand, Enter and Escape's clash of ideas continues and as expected, Escape lost and just does nothing for the entire episode. I am starting to think that Escape is starting to lose her original purpose in this series.

Since they still control Beet Buster, Vaglass used this opportunity to divide the attention of the Go-Busters since the gap between the two Megazord transports is just a few minutes. They decided to have Red Buster fight Beet Buster while the rest will fight the enemy Megazords. Beet Buster and Red Buster's fight in this episode was really good. While they are fighting, Red Buster revealed what he learned from J about why Jin is fooling around. It turns out that he is just hiding his tears about the sacrifices of his companions in the facility. I can understand Jin in his situation since they expect that after they beat Messiah, everything is back to normal now, but nope, Enter is still alive and plans to resurrect Messiah.

Hiromu telling Jin that they can understand his situation since for 13 years, they are training for the day to defeat Messiah and Vaglass in general but nope, the fight still continues thanks to Enter. Much to my surprise, Nick did something in this episode as he was responsible to stop the Puppetroid in controlling Jin. After that, we saw the first stock footage transformation of Red Buster's Powered Custom form. As expected, Red Buster's Volcanic Attack defeated the enemy Metaroid and all they have to do now is to focus with the mecha fights.

I really like the mecha fight in this episode, the launching sequence of the only Megazords they can use now while Red and Beet are busy fighting did a great head start for the fight. What complicate matters worse was that they weren't able to defeat the first Megazord and that the second Megazord's transport was completed! Since the second Megazord was made based of the Puppetroid, it controlled the GT-02 to fight the Buster Hercules while the first Megazord absorbed RH-03 like the Hourglassroid. They were able to stop the enemy Megazords thanks to a mysterious robot lion.

Tategami Li-Oh's debut was really good and much to my surprise, it didn't stop the enemy Megazords and just let the Go-Busters finish the two enemy Megazords. The bigger question about the appearance of Tategami Li-Oh is if this robot is an ally or an enemy? But based on its actions, it is neither an enemy nor an ally as what it did was shoot the same flame attack he did to stop the enemy Megazords.
