Pokémon Origins Anime Special English Language Release Announced


The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Origins, a retelling of the first Pokémon video games, Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version will have an English language release.


In this special four-part special adventure feature the adventures of Red as he sets off from Professor Oak's laboratory. As he explores the Kanto region, he'll encounter Team Rocket, battle his rival, and challenge the Pokémon League.

Pokémon Origins will premiere on Pokémon TV (www.pokemon.com/tv) this November 15. In addition, the remaining 3 episodes will be added to the said channel days following the November 15 premiere.

Latest Pokémon: The Origin TV Ads


Here's a bunch of TV ads for the upcoming Pokémon: The Origin TV anime special that will air this October 2. The ads feature a lot of new scenes, including Red meeting Giovanni.

Taking place in the Kanto region, the special features the adventures of Red and his partner Pokémon, Charmander who later evolved into Charizard. The two will encounter a strange Pokémon. Who could it be?!


The special will features the voices of Junko Takeuchi (Naruto) as Red, Katsuji Mori (Gatchaman) as Professor Oak, Tomokazu Sugita (Gintama) as Pewter City Gym Leader Brock and Rikiya Koyama (Fate/Zero) as Team Rocket leader and Viridian City Gym Leader Giovanni.

Pokémon: The Origin TV Anime Special to Feature Team Rocket & A Strange Pokémon


The official Pokémon Company website posted more info about the upcoming Pokémon TV anime special called "Pokémon: The Origin". The new anime special is based on the Pokémon Red & Green (Blue) games that were released in the Gameboy back in the 90's.

The site confirms that aside from Red, Green (Blue), Professor Oak, Red's mom, Brock and Lance, Team Rocket will also appear in the special as well. In addition, Red will have a fierce battle with Team Rocket's leader Giovanni in which he will encounter a strange Pokémon.

Pokémon: The Origin premieres this October 2 at 7pm in Japan.

Pokémon: The Origin Anime Announced


This year's Tokyo Game Show revealed that a new Pokémon anime based on Pokémon Red and Green (Blue outside of Japan) will be released this year! Called "Pokémon: The Origin", it will feature Red and his rival, Green (or Blue outside of Japan)!


The special is about Red's journey throughout the Kanto region along with his partner, Charmander. As seen in the trailer, he is seen fighting Brock, met Lance of the Elite Four and just like in the games, Red will fight his rival Green in the Pokémon League.

Pokémon: The Origin will premiere on TV Tokyo this October 2nd.

UPDATE: This anime is sadly, just a TV special.

Player Wins Pokémon League With a Single Magikarp


One guy just did, he defeated Gym Leaders, the Elite Four AND the rival character with a single Magikarp in the Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen game!


As seen in the video, s/he used a Lvl. 100 Magikarp with the moves Tackle and Flail in its arsenal. During the times the Magikarp lacked PP, the Pokémon used the move Struggle. Oh, and s/he used a lot of items to make the Magikarp stronger.

Even if that is the case, this guy did what most Pokémon trainers think is the impossible. Kudos to you Meikachuchu, you made us believe that this fish can do great things... aside from evolving into a Gyrados of course.
