Infinite Stratos 2 Latest Anime Trailer

The official Overlap YouTube channel posted a new promo for Infinite Stratos 2. The anime is set to premiere this October 2.


The second season of the Infinite Stratos will feature new characters, with anime studio 8-Bit returning to animate the new anime season. Lastly, a new OVA will be released this October 30 called "Long Vacation Edition".

Infinite Stratos 2 New Characters, Theme Songs Revealed

The official Infinite Stratos 2 website was recently updated, adding the profiles of the new cast members, the latest promotional video and the ones performing the theme songs of the anime.

Tatenashi Sarashiki (voiced by Chiwa Saito) is the strongest student in the academy and the student council president. She is an energetic girl who loves playing tricks on people, and although she often teases Ichika, she has many mysterious points.

Kanzashi Sarashiki (voiced by Suzuko Mimori) is Tatenashi's younger sister and Ichika's classmate. She has an introverted and reserved personality. Although she is a candidate for the representative of Japan, for some reason, her mecha is still incomplete.

In addition, Minami Kuribayashi (Hataraku Maou-sama) will perform the anime's theme song entitled, "True Blue Traveler" while voice actress Yōko Hikasa and other unannounced singers will perform the anime's "BEAUTIFUL SKY" ending theme.


8-Bit will animate the new anime with Kumi Horii directing it alongside with director Shin Tochika. In addition, Kumi Horii is also in-charge with the character designs while sorato Shimizu is the sub-character designer. Takeshi Takakura and Koichi Mugitani from CHOCO will be handling the mecha designs, while Hikaru Nanase will be scoring the music.

Infinite Stratos 2 will premiere this October 2.

Infinite Stratos 2 OVA Announced

The official Infinite Stratos 2 anime website announced that an original Blu-ray/DVD anime will be released on October 30. The new OVA is entitled "Ichika's Memory" will be released less than a month after the anime begins airing in Japan.


In addition, both versions of the "Long Vacation Edition" OVA will contain the 40-minute OVA, 30 minutes of extra footage, a special CD, and an exclusive 28-page booklet. The Blu-ray version costs 5,250 yen (about US$53) while the DVD version costs 4,200 yen (US$42).

Infinite Stratos' Charlotte Dunois Manga Spin-off Announced

A new Infinite Stratos monthly spin-off manga will launch on the Overlap Bunko imprint's official website starting this June 25.

Entitled "IS Sugar & Honey", this "heartwarming, sweeeeeet romantic comedy" will center around Charlotte Dunois. This spin-off is written and illustrated by Takako Hitsuji.

Infinite Stratos 2 to Premiere this Fall

The Infinite Stratos 2 anime is set to premiere this fall according to the official TBS network website. The confirmation of a second IS season was revealed in the IS All-Night Festival.

Infinite Stratos Season 2 Announced

The IS All-Night Festival event confirmed that Infinite Stratos is back with a second season. The airdate of the new season is still not yet revealed as of this writing.

The voice acting cast from the first season will reprise their roles in the second season. In addition, two new characters are introduced in the promo, and they are: Takenashi and Kanzashi Sarashiki.


Yasuhito Kikuchi is back to direct the anime at 8-Bit and Hikaru Nanase is back to score the music. In addition, Kumi Horii (Zone of Enders) is now handling the character designs and Takeshi Takakura is joined by CHOCO (Busou Shinki) on mechanical designs.

New Infinite Stratos TV Anime Coming Soon

The promotional campaign for the launch of the Overlap Bunko imprint, and the campaign's website revealed a new TV anime for Izuru Yumizuru's Infinite Stratos light novel series!

The website previews the folded handout included in Overlap Bunko's books, and the handout's front page reads, "Infinite Stratos: Production on a New TV Anime Green-Lit!" The release date of the new Infinite Stratos anime is still unknown as of this writing.

In related news, Overlap will publish the 8th volume of the light novel series this April 25, as well as re-releases of the older volumes also starting this April 25.

Infinite Stratos Light Novel Series "Reboot" Promo

Overlap has just posted a video promoting the "reboot" of the Infinite Stratos light novel series. The light novel series will resume this April with the release of the 8th volume of the series on April 25, 2013.

Series creator Izuru Yumizuru continues to write the story with artist CHOCO doing the novel illustrations. The special edition version of the 8th volume will bundle a "secret" cast video.


In addition, new editions of the previous seven volumes will also be released next year. Volumes 1 & 2 will be released on April 25, volumes 3 & 4 will be released on May 25, volumes 5 & 6 will be released on June 25 and volume 7 will be released on July 25.
