About darn time!
The Yokai Kanedama is spreading misfortune but never fear, Ninja Red is here to stop him! But the problem is, Sasuke wasn't able to stop him, causing misfortune to happen on people whose house has his coin attached. Later, a Yokai Exorcist is offering his help to remove the coins. I think I know what's going on.
It's been a while since the show had an episode properly focused on Sasuke, and this episode basically tells us that he is the team's ace, someone who is next to the team's leader, Tsuruhime. Aside from Sasuke, this episode also focused on a family who tries their best to succeed every hardship that they face. In the case of this episode, the family's patriarch ends up becoming lazy and lost his drive for his work as a patissier.
Because of this misfortune, the Yokai Exorcist comes in to offer his help to exorcise the place's misfortune. Based on his appearance, he is basically a swindler and you must pay the guy a lot of money just for him to work... and I was right. I mean after he exorcised the place, he ends up demanding them to pay money twice as much as the client gave him! What's interesting is that the guy basically appears on places where the coins have landed. This made me think that him and the Yokai are somewhat related, and if there is one thing I learned from the previous episodes is that the Yokai can disguise as humans.
The best part about this episode is how the patissier's wife rejecting every single offer made by the Yokai Exorcist. This just shows us the resilience of the human spirit. Humans try their best to overcome the trials they face, every misfortune that a person from above tries to give. This is when the Kakurangers comes in, they decided to help the family while at the same time, look for the coin. The search for the coin only ends up with more misfortune but our heroes will not let a single misfortune hurt them!
This is when Nekomaru became a cake stand just for one day! It's kinda cool seeing that the Kakurangers are serving cake instead of the usual crepe they are serving. Crepe and cakes aside, much to my surprise, Nekomaru is also affected by the Yokai's coin magic! And here I was thinking that this coin spell is only limited to houses and other buildings! Because of what happened, the Kakurangers are aware that this is all Kanedama's fault and begins looking for the Yokai.
Finally, they found the Yokai and the first thing they did to him to corner the guy and the punch him! Seriously, they are ganging on the guy that I ended pitying the Yokai while at the same time, laugh at his situation! I am such a good person. After they are done ganging up on the guy and Sasuke delivering one strong punch on his head, creating a bump on the head, we are now back to the Yokai Exorcist who once again, offers his help. This is when we learned that he and the Yokai is just the same person thanks to the bump on his head! I knew it.
Now that the jig is up, he creates the biggest misfortune for the family. Sasuke figured this out and prevented it from happening. Because they stopped it from happening, the Yokai appears and we see more awesome ninja action. As always, the fights in this series are really great and fun to watch. After episodes of finally wondering what Sasuke’s special shape slash is, this episode finally showed us his move, the Full Moon Slash! Unlike the other Kakurangers whose special sword slash finisher is just a glorified shape attack, Sasuke's Full Moon Slash is quite fancy when it comes to special effects.
The giant fight in this episode is not surprisingly, has something to do with the Juusho Fighters. The only thing that disappointing in the giant fight is that it is really short that they weren't able to highlight their individual fight styles of each Fighter. They just did a couple of punches then do the finisher, which is looks kinda cool in my opinion though it kinda looks like something a cheerleader will do in battle. Anyway, the coins are gone and everything is back to normal. Oh, and one final thing to note, Dr. Yugami appeared in this episode and helped the Yokai... so yeah.
