Sony Stops PlayStation 2 Manufacturing

One of the most successful gaming consoles ever created, the PlayStation 2 finally reached its end as Sony confirmed that it stopped manufacturing the said gaming console.

Even if that is the case, stores worldwide will continue the remaining PlayStation 2 consoles until supplies run out. Sony already confirmed that it will stop selling the console in Japan.

The successor to the PlayStation, the PlayStation 2 (PS2) was released in Japan in March 2000. Sony has sold more than 150 million of the consoles worldwide, making it the bestselling home game console to date. It has a library of over 10,000 games that sold over 1.52 billion copies.
