Sailor Moon Tribute Album Announced


As part of the celebration of Sailor Moon's 20th anniversary, a tribute album will be released next year!

The album features songs performed by Shoko Nakagawa, Momoiro Clover Z and Mitsuko Horie, the voice of Sailor Galaxia. The album will contain 10 cover songs, which will be revealed in a later date.

The Sailor Moon Tribute Album will cost 3,000 yen and is set for a January 29, 2014 release.

Before DIC acquired the rights of the Sailor Moon anime, back in 1994, Toon Makers made their own version of Sailor Moon, which features American animated scenes and live-action sequences!

2014 Sailor Moon Anime To Be Streamed in 10 Different Languages


In Kodansha Comics' New York Comic Con panel, it was revealed that the upcoming 2014 Sailor Moon anime that the series will be released around January 2014 subtitled in 10 different languages!

It was previously reported that the new series will air during the Winter 2014 anime season and it will be simultaneously streamed via Niconico.

It is quite obvious that one of those languages is English. What do you guys think are the other 9?

Sailor Moon Perfect Edition Manga Announced


The October issue of Nakayoshi magazine revealed the two new illustrations for the perfect edition of the Sailor Moon manga series illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, the creator of the original Sailor Moon manga.

The Perfect Edition will have a total of 12 volumes, the same count like the New Edition versions. This edition will be bigger than the original and new editions of the manga series since it uses A5 paper. The Perfect Edition of the Sailor Moon manga will be released every month starting this fall in Japan.

New Sailor Moon Anime to Stream Worldwide this Winter


Idol group Momoiro Clover Z confirmed during the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Event #2 that the new Sailor Moon anime will have a simultaneous worldwide streaming this winter, which is around December-January.

It will be streamed on the popular streaming site Niconico. Sailor Moon editor Fumio Osano was also present in the event in which he revealed that the staff cannot announce the voice cast yet. He also indicated that the new anime would not be a remake of the earlier Sailor Moon anime.

In addition, the idol group will sing both the opening and ending theme songs of the new anime.

New Sailor Moon Anime Release Date Listed


The August issue of Nakayoshi magazine revealed that the new merchandise related for the upcoming Sailor Moon anime remake. Aside from that, the magazine also revealed the planned release date of the series.

Listed on the December 2013-January 2014 window is this "New anime starts?? More goods scheduled to debut!" The series was originally planned for a summer 2013 release, but was later delayed in a later date.

Lastly, the upcoming August 4th Momoiro Clover Z concert will have a "surprise" for its fans. The group will perform the show's theme song.

New Sailor Moon Stage Musical Announced


Sailor Moon manga editor Fumio "Osabu" Osano revealed that the Sailor Moon stage musical will return in September. The upcoming stage musical will feature an all female cast.

The cast of the upcoming stage musical are:


Satomi Okubo (Age 17) as Sailor Moon


Miyabi Matsuura (Age 16) as Sailor Mercury


Kanon Nanaki (Age 16) as Sailor Mars


Yū Takahashi (Age 22) as Sailor Jupiter


Shiori Sakata (Age 21) as Sailor Venus


Yūga Yamato as Tuxedo Mask

The story of the stage musical is a recounting of the battles between the Sailor Scouts and the Dark Kingdom that seeks the Silver Crystal.

Producing, writing and directing the new musical is Takuya Hiramitsu with music composed by Toshihiko Sahashi. The musical will run from September 13 to 23 at Shibuya's AiiA Theater Tokyo and is co-produced by Dwango and Nelke Planning.

Ticket sales will begin in July for 6,800 yen (about US$67), but advance reservations began on Monday at noon via Nakayoshi.

New Sailor Moon Anime Will Not Premiere this Summer


Kondansha editor Fumio Osano confirmed that the new Sailor Moon anime has been delayed. The anime was previously announced to premiere this summer.

A formal announcement for the said delay is expected soon, which might include a possible tentative air date, which is assured not the winter 2014 anime season.
