GameCenter CX the Movie Release Date Revealed


The release date of the upcoming GameCenter CX movie entitled "GameCenter CX The Movie: 1986 Mighty Bomb Jack" is finally revealed. The movie premieres in Japan on February 22.

In 1986, we meet a boy named Daisuke who wants to confess his feelings for Kumiko... while trying his best to reclaim is copy of the Famicom (NES) game Mighty Bomb Jack that he lent out.


In 2006, Chief Arino struggles to complete Mighty Bomb Jack in front of fans. The storylines of the boy who loves Famicom and the middled-aged man who loves Famicom eventually merge into one.

GameCenter CX the Movie First Trailer


More info of the upcoming GameCenter CX movie entitled, "GameCenter CX the Movie: 1986 Mighty Bomb Jack" is finally revealed. The movie takes place in both 1986 and 2006.

In 1986, we meet a boy named Daisuke who wants to confess his feelings for Kumiko... while trying his best to reclaim is copy of the Famicom (NES) game Mighty Bomb Jack that he lent out.


In 2006, Chief Arino struggles to complete Mighty Bomb Jack in front of fans. The storylines of the boy who loves Famicom and the middled-aged man who loves Famicom eventually merge into one.

The film also stars child actor Hajime Yoshii and Yūna Taira (Sadako 3D). The film's theme song is "Player I" by rock back Dohatsuten and the film is directed by Masatoshi Kurakata (RAILWAYS Ai o Tsutaerarenai Otona-tachi e).

GameCenter CX the Movie: 1986 Mighty Bomb Jack premieres this February 2014.

GameCenter CX the Movie Announced, Other 10th Anniversary Projects Revealed


It was announced in the 10th anniversary press conference of GameCenter CX (Retro Game Master) that the popular TV show is getting a movie adaptation!

For those of you who are living under the rock, GameCenter CX is about comedian Shinya Arino playing a retro video game and struggling to finish it. GameCenter CX the Movie will premiere on Spring 2014.

Aside from the announced a movie, also part of the show's 10th anniversary celebration is the release of the show's original soundtrack this July 24th. In addition to that, here's a rundown of GameCenter CX's 10th anniversary celebration.

A new Nintendo 3DS game scheduled for winter; an episode filmed in Paris because Arino will make an appearance in this year's Japan Expo from July 4-7. Arino will also attend this year's Tokyo Game Show, which will be held from September 19-22. Lastly, a "GameCenter CX - Arino Challenges in Budōkan" event will happen on November 5.
