It begins.
After giving hope to a boy with an incurable illness, Geki and Mei with the boy's friends saw some dead birds and flowers, it is then followed by a strong earthquake. Back in the shrine, the Guardian Beasts declared that the final between Great Satan and the Great Beast God will happen soon. The final battle of the Zyuranger will soon commence. Also, who is this mysterious white-haired boy that they encountered in the forest?
True to the episode title, "The Final Battle Begins!", this is the beginning act before the final battle. Since this is Zyuranger we are talking about, we need a kid for the audience to relate to and this is the form of Satoshi, a boy with an incurable illness and it is only his will to live that keeps him alive. The reason why we bring up this kid is because he is a guy who loves dinosaurs but he is slowly losing his hope to live that is until Geki brought up that they have Tyrannosaurus eggs and that King Brachion is taking care of them till these eggs hatch 30 days later.
To be honest, I find it stupid that Geki needs to bring up the fact that they are keeping Tyrannosaurus eggs inside King Brachion! I know, kids are fascinated by these creatures but if there is one thing that I learned from watching and later, reading Jurassic Park that would be keeping Tyrannosaurus in your backyard with no proper security is a bad thing. He can just bring up that they have dinosaur eggs and King Brachion is taking care of it until it hatches for crying out loud! Thankfully, the kid didn't have this scared look on his face when he learned that they are taking care of Tyrannosaurus eggs.
Let's skip some bits in this episode, like flowers and birds died and that they are lost in some forest and proceed to the best part of this episode, the introduction of a mysterious white-haired kid. Unlike previous introductions in the series, his introduction didn't feature the standard text that spoils us his name. What he did is show us what he can do and his ability to kill the Zyurangers if he wants to. Seriously, he just uses his psychic abilities to control the Zyurangers, force them to fight and use it to kidnap the kids that the Zyurangers are walking with.
To add up the mystery, he barely talks and just stands still in his place while waving his hands before leaving with the kids that he kidnapped. The boy then appears in Bandora's Palace and called Bandora his mama. At first, Bandora is not aware who is this kid but after a few more stares, she finally remembers that the boy's name is Cai, her son. Wow, Bandora has kids and I find it ironic since she hates kids! Just like me, her gang is completely unaware that their boss has a son! After remembering that she has a son, she tried to hug him only for her son to evade it and reveal that Great Satan is coming back. This can only mean one thing, it is time for Bandora to execute her biggest plan to turn Earth into a giant wasteland.
Back to the Zyurangers, Barza is checking the Dino Revelation, a book given by the Guardian Beasts and the contents of the book are the previous battles of the Great Beast God and Great Satan and he is looking for clues on how will the final battle with Great Satan will begin and most likely, end. But since this is an ancient book, it will take time for Barza to decipher it. Adding this to one of the constraints in the series finale builds up the needed tension that we need along with Satoshi fighting for his life. Wait a minute, earlier in the episode, we see the kid doing fine so how the heck he ended up in that state?!
Anyway, more serious stuff is happening after the quake, Bandora's Palace returns to Earth and to make it more memorable, she did it with style. And with style, she sings her theme song while her gang is doing the back-up vocals while dancing! At first I find it cheesy but as her performance progress, I am starting to like, by like it, I am grinning with thoughts running my head that this scene is seriously awesome.
After the performance, it is time for Cai to take the center stage with the DoraTalos, Pleplechaun's magnum opus. DoraTalos is one of the best looking Dora Monsters that I saw in the series aside from the DoraFranken and its later incarnations, the ZombieFranken and SatanFranken. The DoraTalos also reminded me of Choujin Sentai Jetman's Veronica less the demonic appearance and humans fueling it. Just like Veronica, it needs a pilot and leading the team of pilots is Cai and his co-pilots are the kids that he kidnapped! Cai is indeed his mother's son since having mind-controlled kids as his co-pilots is seriously sinister.
To make matters worse for the Zyurangers, they can't just defeat the DoraTalos because of the kids who are co-piloting the DoraTalos. In short, the DaiZyuJin is a sitting duck during the duration of this giant battle. Can the Zyurangers find a way to defeat the DoraTalos? In addition, Barza is still busy looking for answers, Satoshi is fighting for his life and King Brachion is taking care of the dinosaur eggs. The final battle is indeed upon us as Great Satan is fast approaching our planet Earth.
