Kyosuke is fired (again) from his job after a fight with his boss in which he tries to fire his boss (again)! As he wondered around of being jobless (again), Dappu who is eating a burger (!) told him about his dream of becoming a racer. So what is the relation of Dappu's dream to this episode? I will get into it later.
The episode begins with the obligatory giant fight, which means that something serious will happen in this episode that they have the giant fight at the very beginning. Thinking that this is just the standard giant fight, I didn't expect that this giant fight turns out to just Kyosuke's dream! Because his boss wakes him up from the said dream, it ended up with the two fighting again and the rest of the Carrangers are used to it!
The fight between the two is basically a word war, so hearing Kyosuke firing his boss seriously went a bit out of place for some reason. I mean, who has the balls to fire your own boss since at the first place, he is the one who hired you! The boss then realized that his employee fired him; he decided to fire him back! What made it more hilarious is that his fellow teammates are so used to it that they don't mind what is happening and just continued with their job of fixing a car after taking a few glances just to see what's happening!
This is when we learn Dappu's dream around the time Kyosuke is thinking about his dream of becoming a racer. Dappu admired the space Speed King Max that kids admire because, hey, everybody admires an awesome racer! Too bad, he died because during a race, some light distracted him that caused him to bump on a space... vending machine?! Wow, a space vending machine suspended on space that conveniently came out of nowhere. I am not sure what the writers are drinking but whatever they are drinking, I want a sip of it!
Meanwhile, Bowzock's best dishwasher KK Esu accidentally drive Zonette's car to Earth and to make things worse, he doesn't know how to drive! It's funny because he is a member of Bowzock, a biker gang and as much as possible, he should know how to drive a simple bike! Thankfully, Red Racer came and teaches him how to drive a car. Wow, he is teaching his enemy how to escape from him. Even if it sounds like he is teaching his enemy to escape from him, the scene shows that he doesn't mind who is he is teaching just as long as he is teaching the guy traffic safety!
As expected, KK Esu outran Red Racer thanks to his driving lesson and what I didn't expect is him feeling nostalgic about driving. If there is one thing I learn from the hundreds of stories that I watched or read that has something to do with amnesia, the best way for someone for his memories to return is if he is doing something that he likes to do, in this case, driving. Yes, this inept Bowzock member turns out to be the Speed King Max! What's more, he suddenly remembers that he is Max after crashing on another vending machine!
With his memories back, we learned that he actually survived and end up on some planet where he meet Zelmoda and Grotch. If there is one thing that surprised me in their meeting is that Bowzock is a biker gang but they don't recognize a famous racer! I mean, if I am a biker, it is common sense that aside from admiring my boss, I should also admire someone who is fast with his vehicle or something! But nope, the first thing they did is, "Hey, this guy can become a dishwasher! Let's brainwash him let him clean our dishes!" and thus, the birth of Bowzock's best dishwasher, KK Esu. They can just brainwash him so that he can do something that is close to his former job! But hey, this is Carranger and something this senseless things happen at least every episode!
Bowzock now knows that KK Esu is Max and the first thing they did is to brainwash him again for him to revert back to KK Esu... with some fighting upgrades! KK Esu in battle just do moves that made him look like he is cleaning dishes and since he is brainwashed, the first thing they did is to make him remember that he is Max! The one who tried making KK Esu remember is Dappu, who is a big fan of Max. Dappu acts like a disappointed fan that his idol is now Bowzock's dishwasher and not doing what he does best, to race. As expected, it worked and at the end, he sacrificed his life just to protect Dappu from Zelmoda.
Because of what Zelmoda did, Red Racer decided to fight him in a duel while the rest of the Carrangers are fighting Wumpers. The duel between the two is fun to watch and as the fight continues, it becomes more intense. It is like the longer they fight, they slowly lose weapons since at first, and they fight with swords and finally end up using their fists. Since they can't kill him just yet, he escaped along with Grotch who is driving Zonette's car.
The episode ends with Dappu carrying Max's body and it seems that they will bury him in some mountain with a little help coming from the RV Robo. But much to my surprise, Max's body disintegrates and becomes a car and Max is inside the said car! So let me get this straight, once a space racer dies, his body becomes a car and he is inside the said car and will begin their journey to space heaven? I can dig it. As for Kyosuke, he wants to become a great racer like Max but first, he must get his job back but in one condition, his boss should be fired! Silly Kyosuke, you can't fire your boss!
