
The official website for the upcoming live action adaptation of the popular Sengoku Basara video game series, “Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party-” have finally opened, revealing the cast in their costumes!
Sengoku Basara already spun six games, two anime series and an animated movie. Its story is very loosely based around the many real characters and events of the titular Sengoku era in the history of feudal Japan.

In the bloody Sengoku Period of feudal Japan, one man proved to be too big of a threat: the dark lord, Oda Nobunaga. Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune, two young warlords from different regions who become heated rivals, begin to form an unlikely alliance with the rest of the generals to take down the Devil King.
GACKT will contribute the ending theme song “Hakuro.” The show will premiere on July 12th on MBS, and will run late night, every Thursday at 1:25 a.m. (or early Friday morning). The drama will proceed to the BS-TBS channel later in September.
