2nd Nintama Rantaro Live-Action Movie Trailer


Here's the trailer of the 2nd Nintama Rantaro movie entitled "Ninja Kids!! Summer Mission Impossible", this movie is promised that it will stage the largest battle of the ninja kids!

Seishiro Kato and Roi Hayashi will reprise their roles as Rantaro and Kirimaru respectively while Juri Shingetsu replaces Futa Kimura as Shinbei.


Rantaro and his friends have to reclaim Gokurakumaru — the mystical sword with which, it is said, the wielder shall rule the world. Various ninja all over Dokutake Castle and beyond are also manuevering for this sword of immense power. If they succeed in this mission, they will have no winter homework!

Directed by Ryuta Tasaki (Heisei Kamen Rider, Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger) the movie will hit Japanese theatres this July 6th.

Nintama Rantaro 20th Anniversary Anime Special Announced


NHK announced that a new Nintama Rantaro anime special entitled, "The Ninjutsu Academy and the Mysterious Woman: This Is an Event!" will air in the channel this March 20 from 10:05-10:48 am! This new special commemorates the 20th anniversary of the anime.

Nintama Rantaro is about the adventures of a young ninja apprentice named Rantaro at an elite ninjutsu academy in historical Japan. As elementary students, Rantaro and his ninja-in-training friends are called "Nintama" — a contraction of the words "ninja" and "tamago" ("egg").

2nd Nintama Rantaro Live-Action Movie Revealed


A second live-action Nintama Rantaro movie is finally revealed! Entitled, "Ninja Kids!! Summer Mission Impossible", the staff promises that it will stage Nintama's largest battle ever!

Child actors Seishiro Kato and Roi Hayashi will reprise their roles as Rantaro and Kirimaru respectively while Juri Shingetsu replaces Futa Kimura as Shinbei.

In the movie, the kids have to reclaim Gokurakumaru — the mystical sword with which, it is said, the wielder shall rule the world. Various ninja all over Dokutake Castle and beyond are also manuevering for this sword of immense power.


Rantaro "and his classmates are assigned to retrieve the stolen sword, their first real ninja mission! As an incentive, it's proposed that the kids will have no schoolwork during the winter holidays if they succeed in the mission AND finish their summer homework in time!"

Replacing Takeshi Miike as the film director of the sequel is Ryuta Tasaki, best known for his work in the Kamen Rider franchise, the live-action Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon series and recently with Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger.

Ninja Kids!! Summer Mission Impossible opens this 2013.
