Anohana the Movie Latest Full Trailer

Here's the latest full trailer of the Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day movie. The trailer features the theme song, "Circle Game" by Galileo Galilei.

The movie is a retelling of the 2011 TV anime that followed several childhood friends who try to reconnect in high school, after drifting apart due to tragedy five years earlier. The story will be seen in Menma's point of view.


The movie will feature new scenes not seen in the anime, which includes the reunion of the Super Peace Busters at their secret base one summer, a year after the events of the TV anime.

Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and written by Mari Okada with character designs by Masayoshi Tanaka, this movie will open on August 31.

AnoHana Anime Film Slated Next Summer

It had been announced that the drama anime series Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day will get a theatrical film next Summer. The film will retell the story in Menma's point of view.

AnoHana tells the story of a group of six childhood friends drift apart after Menma dies in an accident. Ten years later, Jinta has withdrawn from society and lives as a recluse. One summer day, the ghost of an older looking Menma appears before him and asks to have a wish granted, reasoning that she cannot pass on into the afterlife until it is fulfilled.
