New Live-Action Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) Movie Images Posted

New pictures for the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of the popular Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) manga/anime has surfaced online. The movie stars Hiro Mizushima (Kamen Rider Kabuto, BECK) and Ayame Gouriki (Gatchaman).

Above is a picture of Hiro Mizushima as Sebastian Michealis, the demon butler of the Phantomhive family for  many years. The movie takes place 130 years after the end of the original manga/anime series, to be more specific, in the year 2020. In order to match Sebastian's physique, it is reported that Mizushima dropped 50kg in the four months leading up to the shoot through intense action training.

Above is a picture of Ayame Gouriki as Shiori Genpou, a descendant of the Phantomhive family. Since only males can take the reins of the family, Shiori dons male clothes and the name Kiyoharu to lead the massive Phantom Corporation. Like Ciel in the original manga, Shiori has a seal in her right eye as a symbol of her contract with Sebastian. Sebastian watches over and protects Shiori, but at a price — he consumes her soul.

The movie also stars model Mizuki Yamamoto (Kirishima, Bukatsu Yameru-tte yo) as Lin, an original character made for the movie. The movie will be directed by Kentaro Otani (Nana) and Keiichi Sato (Tiger & Bunny). The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. early next year.
