Ninja Sentai Kakuranger 11 – Rags, Rags and Seikai

Badass? Badass.

To impress a girl, Seikai decides to sell his friends' clothes as secondhand goods! You know, the classic the guy tries to do the girl's hobby just to impress her kind of thing! But it gets more interesting when the MOTW who likes rags and turns regular clothes into rags and rags into raggedy clothing!

This is one of the episodes when we saw that Seikai can be a badass. Okay, the one that involves an MOTW that turned Seikai into some guy who likes to eat a lot showed that he can be a badass, but this is a whole new level. He showed that he can be a badass in front of the girl he likes! Okay, he did that kind of thing with Tsuruhime and we know how it turned out! Speaking of Tsuruhime, I still can't believe that she is the leader of a group of ninjas and she is the one doing all the laundry while the boys are taking a nap? Wow, her teammates are serious jerks.

So how the heck the MOTW ended up in Seikai's new attempt to impress a girl? Simple, it is because he happened to pass by the charity sale of old items, especially clothes. Since Seikai decided to sell his friends' clothes just to impress the chick, he ends up selling them in the said charity sale event! Thankfully, the boys arrived just in time before their clothes are now owned by some dude who bought all of it for 100 yen! So yeah, I already expected that Seikai will be beaten by his teammates to a pulp in which the girl stop.

This is when the MOTW starts his rampage of rags and turns all clothes into a bunch of rags! Because the clothes are now rags, the girl wants the MOTW to stop his rampage, only to be beaten by it. And since Seikai wants to impress the girl, now kidnapped by the MOTW, he chases him and rides the Nekomaru. While Seikai is inside Nekomaru, we saw some epic Jiraiya moves as he jumped on top of Nekomaru and throws a lasso on the MOTW! Too bad, he failed in doing it. I still can't believe that after his epic focus episode, he is reduced into this. Oh well, it is a Seikai episode and he needs to shine in this one!

The MOTW managed to escape thanks to more rags but Seikai is determined to save the girl and thus, he runs towards his hideout, only to be wrapped by some rags and ends up becoming one of the hostages. As for his teammates, they were attacked by more rags, who then transformed into foot soldiers. Thanks to their awesome ninja skills, they deceived the foot soldiers and showed some great ninja tactics, something that I forgot that actually exist thanks to too much ninja magic thing courtesy of a manga called Naruto.

As for Seikai, he managed to escape and showed us why he can be a badass. After saving the girl, he takes the lead during the team roll call and does a lot of deceiving and disorienting tactics with his teammates. To be honest, the disorienting tactics are not that interesting since it is something I keep on seeing from previous Super Sentai teams with the word "ninpo" slapped in it. After doing the Kakuranger Ball with Seikai doing the kick, the MOTW grows large and starts his rampage. Speaking of the Kakuranger Ball, until now, I still can't figure out what's the connection between American football and ninjutsu.

The giant fight in this series continues to be interesting as we saw Yellow Kumado showing us his great teleportation skills to confuse the opponent before doing some circus like move. Okay, what's the connection between a bear and flaming circus ring? Oh well, at least the move did some damage before forming the Muteki Shogun with his teammates. Also, much to my surprise, Muteki Shogun has some new background behind her back when performing a finisher.

The episode ends and Seikai's teammates decides to help him by giving some of their old clothes, you know, to give Seikai a better impression to the girl, that he can influence others to help for a just cause! Now comes the fun part in this scene, because Seikai is too shy to ask the girl out to start as friends, it's Tsuruhime who asked her! Wow, considering that she is the first person who friendzoned Seikai in this series, this is indeed a surprise. The girl agrees to become friends with Seikai and as we all know, the more they know each other, guess it will lead up to love. But the problem is the girl will leave soon because she wants to help others outside Japan! Poor Seikai, all of his efforts all goes down to the drain.
