Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger 35 – Tiger Ninja Boi

In this episode, Boi is hired by a ninja clan to guard the Elixir of Immortality from the DoraNinja. After passing the test set by the heir of the ninja clan, he begins his job as a bodyguard ninja for the Tomura Style ninpo.

This is the best Boi character focus episode for Boi yet as it showed one thing that I noticed about Boi since day 1, his acrobatic moves, his speed and his youth that makes him qualified to be a ninja. The way on how he passed the test set by the female successor of the ninja clan is really fun to watch especially how Boi reacted with the girl's Clone Technique. Even though it is not a test, his first encounter with the DoraNinja is really fun to watch and it feels like I am not watching a Sentai team about dinosaurs thanks to Boi!

Because she thinks that Boi passed the test, he is qualified to be the bodyguard and reveal her father's research about the Elixir of Immortality to Boi. The name of the elixir speaks for itself, it grants the user immortality and Bandora wants it so she sends Tottopat, Bukbak and Grifforzer. I am fine with Bandora sending Grifforzer but sending two of the most incompetent nincompoops to search for some elixir? Why not send Grifforzer and his wife for this kind of job considering that the DoraNinja had a scuffle with the Tiger Ranger Boi?

Because Bandora sent two nincompoops and a competent warrior, we saw more of Boi's ninja skill as we see his stalking skills and his ability to hide himself from his surroundings and use it to his own advantage. Instead of stopping the three, Boi continues to lurk in the shadows. This caused me to believe that he and the girl has some plan on how they can stop the three men. As for the girl, we saw some of her fighting skills, which I say, I am a bit impressed but one thing I notice is that it feels like she let the three win and then the three grab the jars filled with the alleged elixir.

The three drink the elixir and as expected, those three are just decoys, which I expect at first is just regular water but as it turns out, it can cause someone to either to get itchy, to sneeze and to have stomachaches! Now that the three are in an unexpected situation, they use this opportunity to strike! What's more, the other Zyurangers appeared in their ninja outfits! Is it me, or this show should be retitled into Ninja Sentai Zyuranger just for this episode? It is fun seeing the Zyurangers doing great ninja moves with Boi doing most of those great ninja moves. With their defeat, the three nincompoops retreated back to the moon and receive a spanking from Bandora! As expected from three idiots who drank the "Elixir of Immortality" before Bandora can take a sip of it!

Back at the ninja dojo, we learned that the elixir was based on what chimpanzees are doing on how they heal themselves with herbs and the like and learned that the Elixir of Immortality is not something grand that I expect that it is. As it turns out, it kinda sounds like those health supplements that promise that it will help you prolong your life and that one of those herbs needed to make the elixir is on top of the father's desk. As expected, the DoraNinja used this intel to steal the herb needed to make the elixir.

The Zyurangers chased the DoraNinja and learned that he is fooled by the Zyurangers like what happened to the three idiots earlier! Is it me, or the Zyurangers didn't feel like the Zyurangers in this episode? With that in mind, the DoraNinja has no choice but to use the kid as her hostage and that he warned them not to fight him or use any ninjutsu to stop him... which Boi disobeyed since he used the Clone Technique that he learned from the kid earlier! Aside that I noticed that the Tiger Ranger suits are not that identical, it is also fun seeing Boi being his own Sentai team and fight the DoraNinja and save the girl.

As for the giant fight in this episode, King Brachion helped the Zyurangers in this one and much to my disappointment, we didn't see the DaiZyuJin dock inside King Brachion but I guess they want the King Brachion docking thing to be exclusive for the Sovereign DaiZyuJin. Finally, the finisher used in this episode, what surprised me is that for the first time, we saw the DaiZyuJin perform the Legendary Thunder Slash in an upward manner since for most of the time, we see him execute the move by slashing the enemy in a downward manner. At the end, Boi is on a tight situation since the girl wants to marry him after the girl was saved from the DoraNinja!
