AKB48 Breaks Records with “Manatsu no Sounds good!”
With over 2 million copies shipped, idol group AKB48's 26th single, “Manatsu no Sounds good!” manages to top the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking Chart for the week of June 4th!
AKB48's “Manatsu no Sounds good!” have 1,617,000 copies sold in its first week! This created a new record as the highest sales on Oricon’s single sales chart for a first week. The idol group currently topped the chart for 13 consecutive singles, and also sold over a million copies for 7 consecutive singles.
Furthermore, the single's first day sales of 1,171,000 copies also marked a new record on Oricon daily chart.
