Power Rangers DVD Box Set Season 13-17 Announced

RangerCrew reported that Shout! Factory will release the final Power Rangers DVD Box Set next year. The final set contains seasons 13-17.

The seasons in the set are: SPD, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, Jungle Fury and RPM. The bonus features of this set are as follows:

• The S.P.D. Rangers Want You

The price and release date of this final set is yet to be announced, but for now, just be satisfied with the first photo we have for the cover art of the box set.

Matt Austin (SPD Green) Plans to Make a Power Rangers SPD Fan Film!

Because of Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Matt Austin (Bridge Carson/SPD Green) decided to make a fan film called "Power Rangers SPD: The Last Patrol" but here's the catch, the fans will make the plot!

This 22-minute film takes place after the end of the series and will focus on the core SPD team. This film will be directed by Matt Austin himself, and will feature appearances of the core SPD team. For more details about the said project, you can check Matt Austin's Wattpad.

Brandon Jay McLaren to Not Appear in Power Rangers Super Megaforce?!

Just like fellow Power Rangers SPD cast member Matt Austin, Bradon Jay McLaren also didn't receive an invite from Saban Brands to appear in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. He is best known as Jack Landors aka SPD Red.

Below is the full exchange of tweets between the RangerCrew staff and McLaren to those who are interested in reading it.

But before we whine and be disappointed about it, take note, Power Rangers SPD takes place in the year 2025. If we want them to make a cameo in the current Power Rangers timeline, it is likely via time travel or we will see them as kids. Guess the closest thing we have a for a SPD cameo appearance is Anubis "Doggie" Cruger aka SPD Shadow Ranger.

Matt Austin Talks About Power Rangers Super Megaforce

Because Karan Ashley will not make a cameo appearance in Power Rangers Super Megaforce, Matt Austin who is best known for his role as Bridge Carson aka SPD Green (later promoted to Blue then Red) posted a comment on the YouTube video were an excerpt of Ashley's radio show was posted.

Matt Austin revealed that as far as he knows, nobody in the Disney era cast received an e-mail from Saban. Below is the full version of Matt's comment.

First. I don't know what email Saban sent out. As far as I know - nobody in Disney era cast received a letter. Second. I totally get Karan. PR is one of the most top rated kids series in the world - the actors get paid peanuts to do it relative to any other show on television that doesn't play in every foreign market on earth. I actually make more at my current joe job per hour than they ever paid. They make tons of money off of licensing and merchandise, that doesn't trickle down to the actor.

To ask cast (except me apparently) to go down to NZ, essentially for free when you subtract food/airfare/hotel and the time away from responsibilities at home - is a LOSS. This is one of the major reasons why you started to have a rotating cast. So there aren't any contract negotiations. You have the cast. You milk them and then you cut them off. It's one of the reasons SPD/Mystic Force didn't have a team up. Wish it were different. I love the show and I love the fans. #Buttery

MAJOR EDIT: According to Fury Diamond, a reliable source when it comes to Power Rangers news SOME Disney era Rangers got an invite from Saban Brands.
