Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening TV Anime Special Promo

The official TV Tokyo YouTube channel posted the promo for the Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening TV anime special. This 2-hour special serves as a prologue to the Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening.


This special is set before Mewtwo meets Pokémon franchise protagonist Ash and his friends in the upcoming film's storyline. It will focus on Mewtwo's history, goals, and how it became the strongest Pokémon.

Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening premieres this July 13th.

Pokémon: Black and White Manga Ends

The Pokémon: Black and White manga written by Hidenori Kusaka and illustrated by Satoshi Yamamoto has just ended in the August issue of Monthly CoroCoro Ichiban magazine.

The magazine's website posted an over 30-page preview of the final chapter. In addition, the manga's next three volumes will come out monthly between June 28 and August.

Lastly, Yamamoto drew the start of the next Pokémon manga project, which will appear in the 31st issue of Pokémon Fan magazine on July 1.

Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening Pokémon Anime Special Announced

A new Pokémon anime TV special will air this July 11th at 7:00pm on Japan's TV Tokyo channel. Entitled "Mewtwo: Prologue to the Awakening", this 2-hour special is connected to the Pokémon the Movie: ExtremeSpeed Genesect: Mewtwo's Awakening.

This special is set before Mewtwo meets Pokémon franchise protagonist Ash and his friends in the upcoming film's storyline. It will focus on Mewtwo's history, goals, and how it became the strongest Pokémon.

The upcoming Pokémon movie is billed as the final chapter of the Pokémon: Best Wishes! anime and will premiere this July 13th in Japan. The new movie will feature Mewtwo's new forme as he will face ExtremeSpeed Genesect.

In a latest sales Nintendo sales report, it is reported that Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 sold over 7.63 million worldwide!

Other Nintendo games that sold a lot last year are: New Super Mario Bros. 2 with 5.96 million, Animal Crossing: New Leaf with 2.73 million in Japan, New Super Mario Bros. U with 2.01 million and Nintendo Land with 2.33 million.
