Blue Exorcist Coming to U.S. Adult Swim's Toonami Block Next Year

Aniplex of America announced that the Blue Exorcist anime will start airing on Adult Swim's Toonami block in March 2014.

The series is currently available in North America in dubbed form via the Neon Alley streaming service. This is the third anime title announced to air on the said anime block next year. Both Space Dandy and Naruto: Shippuden will air on the anime block this January 2014.

Blue Exorcist Spin-Off Manga Announced

This year's 9th issue of Jump Square announced that the Blue Exorcist spin-off one shot manga, "Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrow of Yukio Okumura" will become a regular series in the next magazine issue on October 19.

Illustrated by Minoru Sasaki as a one-shot in the magazine's 7th issue back in April under the supervision of series creator Kazue Kato. This comedy manga follows the daily life of the overworked Yukio as he stresses over his twin brother Rin.

Blue Exorcist the Movie BD/DVD Details Revealed

Aniplex confirmed that the Blu-ray and DVD release of Blue Exorcist the Movie will be released in Japan this July 3.

It will be released in two editions for both Blu-ray and DVD, the limited-pressing edition and the regular edition. The limited pressing edition is packed a lot of bonuses, which includes:

• Exclusive Digipak and case illustrations by Kazue Katō
• Original text short story
• Original drama CD
• Exclusive booklet
• Collection of production art designs
• Illustrated postcards
• A strip of actual film from the movie's run
• Audio commentaries by the cast and staff
• Trailers and commercials
• The April Fool's crossover video with Jigoku no Misawa

In addition, participating retailers are also offering bonus extras.

Blue Exorcist the Movie Pre-Opening Promo

The official Blue Exorcist the Movie has just streamed a new promo video before the movie hits theatres tomorrow. The promo poses the question: "Should one slay, or save? The time of reckoning that will sway destiny."


Featured in the trailer is the theme song of the movie entitled, "Reversi" by UVERworld. Blue Exorcist the Movie opens this December 28.

Blue Exorcist the Movie 2nd Full Length Trailer

The second full length trailer of Blue Exorcist the Movie was recently posted on the movie's official website. The movie opens this December 28 in Japan.


In addition, the website's gallery page was also updated featuring new screenshots from various scenes. Lastly, 500,000 moviegoers nationwide will receive a Blue Exorcist fortune figure, while 100,000 moviesgoers will receive a New Year's greeting card with an exclusive illustration by Kazue Kato, the author of the original manga.
