Also... monkey!
After weeks of disappointing Gorgom, Professor Kuromatsu is finally executed but Birugenia has other plans for him. Using his face, he disguised himself as the professor and asked Kotaro's help to save him from Gorgom! Will Kotaro realize Birugenia's plan to kill him?
The previews for this episode didn't spoil us about Kuromatsu's fate and Birugenia's involvement, thus I was surprised with the twist earlier in the episode that Birugenia copied Kuromatsu's face for his plan to destroy Kamen Rider BLACK! After copying Kuromatsu unconscious, it is time to execute his plan to silently kill BLACK. Much to my surprise, his plan worked! Aside that he tried to gain the girls and Kotaro's trust (though Kotaro is doubtful about it), I just love that he used some of the Gorgom's mutants to pull off the act.
Now that he gained their trust, it is time to execute his plan. The execution is perfect; the problem is when it comes to the timing of the execution. If the nurse didn't appear, Birugenia can finally kill Kotaro without him knowing it while he is asleep. He also attempted it for the second time now as the doctor, but it is again interrupted thanks to Kotaro waking up. Guess that means that the final strike is in the third one.
The final attempt to kill Kotaro is... quite dumb to be honest. I mean, he used some sleeping gas just to kill Kotaro and his final attempt has something to do with the demon monkey Kotaro fought earlier in the episode? It's seriously ridiculous and I find it completely out of character. Heck, he could just place a fake map with some sleeping powder inside the bag that he is so that once Kotaro opens it; the powder will fly in his face, causing him to fall asleep! As I have expected, the direct approach failed, which then lead us to the second battle between BLACK and the Demon Monkey Mutant.
The fight scene looks great, but what comes after it is so much better. After BLACK defeated the mutant, it is time for Birugenia to show up and fight Kamen Rider. The fight between the two looks one sided as we learn that he is stronger than BLACK and that he doesn't have any weakness. This only leaves him with one option, to summon his bikes in battle! I just love that he the Battle Hopper and Road Sector ramming Birugenia. It's something I didn't expect a Kamen Rider will do since I find that kind of trick kinda cheap, but hey, he ran out of options he has no choice but to do it! At the end, Birugenia leaves and later learned that Professor Kuromatsu is found dead. This means that the hope of finding Nobuhiko is now lessened.
