Reversi and Zombie Gun are finally published in Weekly Shonen Jack, but the new chief editor is favoring Zombie Gun over Reversi. The question is who will the fans chose as the best one-shot manga? Also, once Reversi is published, can Ashirogi handle two titles?
Before talking about what happened during the polls about which manga is the best, I'll talk what the authors say about Reversi. To sum it up, it is so awesome that you should read it. How the heck I can read Reversi if it doesn't exist in the Weekly Shonen Jump that we have in the real world?! Dang it, Ohba and Obata, if Reversi heck, even PCP is so darn good, just publish those in Jump for crying out loud!
Now to the results, though Zombie Gun defeated the record to the most votes for a one-shot, the next issue was able to beat the record as Reversi defeated Zombie Gun by two votes! This means that they are just a step away from their dream to publish this series. But considering what happened to Ashirogi last time, to be exact, in Mashiro's case, they are aware that Mashiro can't do two titles in the same time, because Reversi is so darn good, this lead to the decision to publish it on Hisshou Jack, a monthly magazine.
Now that Reversi will finally be published, in Niizuma's side, he is finally pumped up after realizing that he cannot be the best in the world (!) if he cannot defeat Reversi, and thus, he begins writing the serialization storyboard for Zombie Gun. Even if everything seems doing to be fine, Hattori is kinda sad that he doesn't have the chance to edit Reversi because it is a monthly series, not a weekly series. Again, Ohba and Obata, if this series is so darn good, please, please, please publish this series in Jump now! I don't care if this is just Death Note the Fighting Manga, just publish it and let us decide if this is good or not.
The next day during the meeting of Ashirogi's new editor for Reversi, we finally saw Yujirou do his duty as Team Leader as he suggested that they should publish Reversi and give PCP to Hisshou Jack. It makes sense for a couple of good reasons, Reversi's plot is something worth enjoyable in a weekly basis while PCP's middle school arc feels like it can work best in a monthly basis, plus it's a new magazine and it needs that push coming from a popular manga series.
This is then followed by a scene in which they asked Ashirogi and Hattori if they want Reversi in Jack. The scene is kinda emotional and for once, we saw Hattori act not like Hattori in front of his authors. It's something we rarely see in this series, an author who is kinda selfish and wants to do a work that he chooses. At the end, Ashirogi and Hattori's perseverance wins and Reversi will be published in Jack while PCP will be published in Hisshou Jack. Now that this is all over, the next day, Mashiro's grandpa gave his uncle's "diary", and after reading how determined he is to marry Azuki's mom back then, Mashiro is more determined with his work.
