This is serious business.
In this episode, J is worried about Jin's situation as his data body is slowly disappearing thanks to the damages he is taking in. For some odd reason, he is protecting a Metaroid that is infused with a Messiah Card and he wants the said card!
After weeks of seeing Messiah Metaroids, Escape decided to make her own Metaroid, the Parabolaroid whose job is to detect any Messiah Card and if there is one thing I learned from the episode involving the Tiararoid, it would be, she wants those cards to fall on the right objects to gather the right data. Since she created a traditional Metaroid, as expected, it transported a Megazord that the Go-Busters must face and if there is one thing that bothered me with it is that they faced a Gamma-type and they needed the Go-Buster Ace and Go-Buster Lioh just to finish it! I mean, a single Go-BusterOh finisher can beat it for crying out loud!
Back to Escape and the Parabolaroid, the Metaroid detected Messiah's essence on Enter, which means that aside from backing up Messiah's data on cards, he also backed up some of his data into his own body. As what Enter pointed out, what's inside his body are Messiah's best data. To put it simply, the reason why his eye glow red in some instances is because of Messiah's presence in his body. Well that makes a lot more sense.
As for the Parabolaroid, he left and continued his search for a Messiah Card and because of this, it attracted one Messiah Card and the card is absorbed inside the Metaroid! The situation for this one is similar with the kid we have in the previous episode except that unlike the kid, in which the purpose of his gloves is to gather battle data and instinct in battle, the purpose of this Metaroid is to gather vehicle data. Enter finds this data useless. It kinda makes sense why this kind of data is useless similar to the building data because for starters, what's the point of gathering that kind of data if Messiah is a sentient computer data that can evolve faster than those vehicles?
This is when J comes in this episode after the scene he had earlier about his report to Jin that we should brace ourselves because winter is coming. For some unknown reason, he decided to protect the Metaroid! the Go-Busters are unaware on why the heck he is doing it and why he is willing to shoot them at all cost, like he is desperate or something. This is one of the rare times we see J not being J but in a good way. The way he acts in this episode reminded me of the times that involve the revelation on some of Jin's secrets like that his body in Hyperspace is taking damage and that the Jin we saw for most of the time is just his avatar. Though it gets clearer later on, I will talk about it once Jin makes his appearance in this episode as an avatar.
Because of his actions, Kuroki decided to talk to Jin via a communication channel that he is using before J appeared in front of them. His communication with Jin via that communication channel cleared up a couple of things that the series failed to close earlier. Remember the time that I thought he is communicating with Messiah in Hyperspace because he is using the same method Enter use in communicating Messiah? Turns out he is talking to Jin since day 1! After explaining the situation to Jin, we got the same answer we have earlier. What surprises me about it is Kuroki's reply that they can bring Jin back to our space if they wanted to! But nope, Jin puts more emphasis on defeating Messiah first before transporting his body.
Back to J, turns out that the reason why he is protecting the Metaroid is because of the card that is implanted in its body. This is when we saw J being too desperate in wanting the card that he is willing to take the shots coming from the Metaroid just for him to get the card inside of him. the Go-Busters saw it and decided to help J. Because of his actions, Jin decided to appear in our world, which leads us in the revelation of yet another of Jin's secrets.
Turns out the reason why Jin still has his body intact along with his brain is because his transport is a bit incomplete and some fragments of his overall body data ended up in Messiah's hands. In short, the card that J is desperate is trying to get is a fragment of Jin's data and with that data, they can restore Jin. Well that is quite a startling revelation. Even if that is the case, Jin just wanted the effin' Metaroid to be destroyed but J is stopping him that at one point, he threatened to kill Jin!
This is when we saw J as Jin's partner, he just wanted his partner to be back in our world and once again, witnesses its wonders that Jin haven't seen for 13 years now. He is just concerned on what his partner is missing for 13 years now. After the two finally understand each other, they decided to destroy the Metaroid because hey, Jin can still manage it and think that he can last long in their battle with Messiah. Now comes the fun part in this episode, we saw the teamwork between these two that I missed seeing for weeks now. There is something different with their teamwork in this episode compared to the previous ones.
Before the Go-Busters can finish the Metaroid, Enter appears and transforms into his new form that he plans to reserve it for some better time. The debut of Enter's new form is really fantastic, unlike Escape's new form debut that we have the use of stock footage, Enter's transformation sequence is similar to the ones we have for the Go-Busters and I like it. The over character design of Enter's new form is fantastic and reflects on Enter's overall personality that he is one fabulous and cunning fighter. Seriously, that's the best way to describe Enter. The only disappointment I have with Enter's new form is that it feels more Spanish inspired than French inspired but what the heck.
As expected, he defeated the Go-Busters with ease since hey; they need to make a good impression with this new form! Because of this new form, he can get the Messiah Card that is inside the Metaroid and because he is aware that it contains Beet Buster's fragmented data, he decides to keep it. Guess I will not be surprised if Enter will create a Metaroid with that card and we will have a battle between Beet Buster's Metaroid counterpart and Beet Buster. Or have an episode that involved Jin's overall data is about to fade and they are now desperate in obtaining that card to recover Jin's data.
The episode ends with Enter leaving with Jin's Messiah Card and Yoko realizing that what if they can recover their parents only to receive an answer from Jin that it is rather impossible because unlike them, Jin is only missing fragments of data and that they need a larger storage capacity for a full restoration of their parents. But since this show is written by Yasuko Kobayashi and she is best known for her rather unpredictable plot twists that turned out to be foreshadowed in some point in the series, I will not be surprised if they will have an episode involving the restoration of their parents.
