Imouto is not pleased.
Two months after everyone was freed from the death game known as Sword Art Online, Asuna is still under coma and Kirito is worried about her. On the other hand, we meet Suguha, Kirito's younger sister who is concerned about her older brother.
If there is one thing that disappoints me with this episode is that Asuna is still under coma even if the game ended and we all assume that most of the characters went on to their normal lives while those players who are known to be player killers in S.A.O. are now paying for their crimes and went intense rehab. But nope, at least 300 players are still in a coma and that includes Asuna.
This is when Kirito's depression comes in, he tries to hide the fact that he is sad that he still can't talk to Asuna or even ask her on a date in real life is quite painful to Kirito. She is one of those people that he really cares about and that he doesn't want to lose her considering that staying under that comatose state for 2 years and 2 months can slowly kill someone if he or she doesn't receive any proper nutrition. One thing I observe is that his way to cope up with his depression is to spar with his sister Suguha.
Suguha feels like that younger sister archetype, she is caring about her older brother and the only lasting impression she had on me in this episode is the size of her boobs. I am dead serious; I mean for her age, she has one great pair of knockers. As for the sparring session, it's quite fun since Kirito decided to apply some of the skills he earned from playing S.A.O. for 2 years only to end up getting beaten by his younger sister. One thing that I like about this scene is how Kirito commented that he can apply some of the skills he earned from the game but some skills required the need of the system for him to execute in real life.
Another thing about the spar is Suguha's observation about Kirito's fighting skills, like he is fighting naturally, like it is already part of his instinct or something. After the spar, Kirito praised his sister on how she improved as a swordsman and that he will visit Asuna again after he takes a shower. Asuna doesn't look malnourished compared to Kirito when he first woke up. I am not sure if it is because of the NerveGear helmet that she doesn't look like she is malnourished but what the heck, we will learn if she is indeed malnourished once she removes it in the future!
In the hospital room, we meet Asuna's father and Mr. Sugou, the head of RECT, an electronics company who bought Argus, the company that developed Sword Art Online that went bankrupt after the development of the said game and after they paid all the damages that it did thanks to that crazy stunt Akihiko Kayaba did 2 years ago. Asuna's father has this feel of that company president kind of guy so let's skip it. As for Mr. Sugou, he is seriously creepy. He is creepy in a sense that he has this desire on Asuna and he will abuse the fact that she is in a coma and will plan on "marrying" Asuna a week after because of her current condition! It didn't help that he sounds like some creepy pervert or something!
Because Asuna will soon get married on the creep named Sugou, Kirito once again goes depressed and not to my surprise, Suguha comforts his older brother that he mustn't lose hope. Kirito ends up crying himself to sleep. As for Suguha, we had a flashback on how she learned that Kirito is just her cousin and that's about it. Suguha also fell asleep in Kirito's room that led us to one cute scene of Kirito waking Suguha up the next day. One thing I can't help notice is that the animators purposely shove Suguha's boobs when she is running outside Kirito's room after she felt embarrassed.
As for Kirito, he receives an e-mail coming from Egil about something that might interest him. Aside that Kirito's OS kinda looked like a better version of your standard Windows operating system that is not named Windows 8 is the e-mail he received. It's a picture of Asuna inside a cage of some online game. With that in mind, I guess I know what will happen next, Kirito need some answers about the origins of the photo and how Asuna ended up inside that game.
