Kyoryuu Sentai Zyuranger 37 – DoraJinjao & the Dinosaur Eggs

Two kids discovered a chest that contains two dinosaur eggs but because of some bully, he claimed that he owns the eggs. Meanwhile, Bandora spotted the bully with the chest that contains the eggs and sends DoraJinjao along with Grifforzer, Bukbak and Tottopat! Can the Zyurangers retrieve the eggs before Bandora smashes it into smithereens?

After episodes of not knowing about the current whereabouts of the dinosaur eggs, this episode happened. Unlike the previous two arcs we have regarding the egg, the first being with the Apellon tribe and the second has something to do with Burai, this episode features kids wanting to take possession of these eggs. The quarrel between the kids just for the eggs is something expected since the bully wants the eggs for his own sake while the two wants the eggs because they are the ones who first discovered it. Since we are talking about kids, I wonder how their parents will react if they know that they are taking care of dinosaurs.

Because the eggs are now under the possession of the bully, the Zyurangers and the other kids are looking for the said bully. Back to Bandora's moon base, Bandora is disappointed after reading "The Journey to the West" and knowing that a kid finally has the dinosaur eggs, it obviously cheered her up. I mean, she spotted two things she hates the most: a kid and the dinosaur eggs and crushing them with a Dora Monster based on a demon, which was defeated by Sun Wukong at the end is the perfect way to release her disappointment!

The DoraJinjao is based from Jinjao from "The Journey to the West" and according to Goushi, once you answered his call, you will get sucked inside his gourd, which happened to the kids, Mei and the dinosaur eggs. Since this episode has a lot of references to the said epic, I can't help myself to fangasm a bit since I spot some references that were used in Dragon Ball, namely the Basjoo Fan that became a pot holder in Dragon Ball and the Ruyi Bang or the nyoibo, which was Son Goku's main weapon back when he was still a kid.

Speaking of the weapons, the Basjoo Fan has the ability to create strong winds and one thing I notice with the effect of the winds is that they used some sparklers just to give us this impression that the fan is making strong winds. The winds drove the remaining Zyurangers away and before they end up falling in a cliff, Ultimate DaiZyuJin saved them.

The first thing I notice is that they use the toy versions to give us an impression that all seven Guardian Beasts are in the same location since if I base it on the effects used in the Ultimate DaiZyuJin, it seems that they don't have an actual suit version of the formation, but a model version of the toy and that they use special effects such as the use of remote control or the classic wires for it to move. Speaking of toy models, I can't help but notice that we have four toy models for Geki, Goushi, Dan and Boi during the scene where they are supposed to suspend in midair.

Aside from pointing out the obvious that the seven Guardian Beasts are one being, he also revealed that their mission is to protect lives and that includes the dinosaur eggs that are about to hatch 60 days from now. To put it simply, their mission is to protect the lives inside the eggs until they hatch. Wow, for once, DaiZyuJin is quite a cool guy since he saved the Zyurangers and second, they were transported back to lower ground.

As for the ones inside the gourd, the kids still continue to argue over the possession of the eggs but thanks to Mei letting the kids understand that no one owns the eggs, they stopped arguing over the ownership of the eggs. One thing that I like about this is scene is that Mei is teaching the kids to value life in any shape or size. Mei's method in teaching them that the heart inside the eggs is beating in one adorable and beautiful sight to see. But it will be interrupted thanks to the DoraJinjao decides to burn the humans and the eggs inside his gourd.

Geki and the others are busy looking for them but thanks to Geki understanding the telepathic cry he heard earlier in the episode, they were able to find DoraJinjao's hideout. Unlike the previous Dora Monster they fought, it is one of those rare instances that they are overpowered by the Dora Monster that they decided to went straight to the giant mecha just to overpower a small Dora Monster. But nope, Bandora will not let this happen and enlarges DoraJinjao and Grifforzer!

As expected, the Zyurangers are still overpowered by the DoraJinjao; what's more, they can't form the DaiZyuJin thanks to Mei being trapped inside the gourd! Thankfully, Burai arrives and helps them by summoning the Dragon Caesar! GouRyuJin's fight with the DoraJinjao is fun to watch, same goes with Tyrannozaurus' fight with Grifforzer. GouRyuJin saves Mei and kids inside the gourd with its drill and now that Mei is out, it is time to form the DaiZyuJin! Now that Mei is out, it is time to form the DaiZyuJin!

The DoraJinjao also summoned the Basjoo Fan in the giant battle and saw more of that sparker effects. Because of its power, they went with the Ultimate DaiZyuJin and defeat the DoraJinjao! For once, we saw an actual suit shot of the Ultimate DaiZyuJin, something that we might not see again since they'll keep on using the stock footage shots of Ultimate DaiZyuJin.

Now that the dinosaur eggs are safe, they entrusted the care of the dinosaur eggs to King Brachion as ordered by Ultimate DaiZyuJin. Guess this will be the last time we will see the dinosaur eggs until they will hatch thanks to the care of King Brachion. With a new life coming out soon, Burai's desire to continue on protecting living things intensify while his brother continues being worried for his brother who is about to die soon. With only 5 hours left, what will happen next to Burai's fate?
